18-39. Candidates born between 2.1.1982 and 1.1.2003 are eligible to apply for this post (Both dates included). (Including relaxation in Part-II Para 2(i) of the General conditions.) (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see Para (2) of the General Conditions, except Para 2(i), under Part II of this notification.)

(a) Educational Qualifications: Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification [Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable] (b) Physical Fitness: (i) Must have at least 165 cm height and must be minimum 81.3 cms round the chest on full exhalation and must have a chest expansion of 5 cms (ii) Eye sight:- Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen (c) Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (iv) Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test, as specified below. Sl. Note: Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. Note:(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (ii) Candidates who having applied with actual caste when the caste entry is differed in the SSLC book such changes to be published in the Gazette notification and the same along with the Original Community Certificate/Non Creamy layer certificate issued by the Revenue authorities, should be produced to prove their claim in application, at the time of verification. (iii) The above vacancies are now in existence. Ranked list will be prepared in pursuance of this notification and shall remain in force for a period of three years from the date of publication of Ranked List or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post as detailed below, whichever is earlier. (iv) The name of the post, qualification and related conditions for selection is notified as per the provisions included in G.O. (P) No. 89/2014/Home dated 06.05.2014, G.O.(P) No. 266/2010/Home dated 09.12.2010 and G.O(P)No.337/2012/Home dtd.28.12.2012 (v) (a)Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. (b)They shall undergo in-service training within the period of probation as prescribed by the Head of Department. (c)They shall pass Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test within the period of probation unless they have already passed the test. (d) Statewide Seniority will be maintained on the warder establishment for the purpose of promotion to other categories. The Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happened to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he will not be given further chance to participate in the test. The candidates should produce at the time of Physical Efficiency Test, a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant and the same shall be uploaded in the OTR Profile by the candidate at time of Certificate Verification. Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User ID and Password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2011. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link 'My applications' in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Original documents to prove qualification, experience, age, community etc. have to be produced as and when called for. Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rules of procedure Rule 22 shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc and submit confirmation for writing examination irrespective of whether they are present or absent for the examination. If Written Test/OMR Test/Online Test is conducted as a part of this selection candidate shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the admission tickets in the last fifteen days till the date of test. The applications of candidate who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of admission tickets will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it.
