18-36; Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 are eligible to apply for this post (both dates included). Note: (i) Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxations as per the conditions mentioned in para 2 (1) of the Part II of General Conditions of this notification. (ii) For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para2(i) under Part II of this Notification.

(a) Educational Qualifications Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification Note: i) Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable ii) In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification the qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. (b) Physical Fitness: (i) Must have at least 165 cms height and must be minimum 81.3 cms round the chest on full exhalation and must have a chest expansion of 5 cms Note: A height of 160 cms will be sufficient for the candidates belonging to SC and ST. The above conditions regarding chest measurements will be applicable for SC/ST candidates. (ii) Eye sight:- Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (iv) Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test, as specified below. Sl. Note:- (i) Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. (ii) The name of the post, qualification and related conditions for selection is notified as per the provisions included in G.O. (P) No. 89/2014/Home dated 06.05.2014, G.O.(P) No. 266/2010/Home dated 09.12.2010 and G.O(P)No.337/2012/Home dtd.28.12.2012 (iii) The Ranked List prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new Ranked List after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies listed above and that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. (iv) Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. They shall undergo in-service training within the period of probation as prescribed by the Head of Department. They shall pass Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test within the period of probation unless they have already passed the test. Statewide Seniority will be maintained on the warder establishment for the purpose of promotion to other categories. 1) The physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, she will not be given further chance to participate in the test. The candidates should produce at the time of Physical Efficiency Test a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant and the same shall be uploaded in the OTR Profile by the candidate prior to Certificate Verification. 2) The tentative schedule for physical measurement and physical efficiency test will be published in website. 3) NCC Cadets having 'A', 'B' & 'C' Certificates will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively as per GO(Ms)No.112/2007/H.Edn, dated 21.08.2007. 4) Extra marks will be awarded to meritorious sports persons as per para 6 of the General Conditions. 5) Students Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders will be given weightage marks as per GO(Ms)No.06/2025/P&ARD dated 01.03.2025.
