18-36; Candidates born between 2.1.1989 and 1.1.2007 are eligible to apply for this post (both dates included). Note: (i) Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxations as per the conditions mentioned in para 2 (1) of the Part II of General Conditions of this notification. (ii) For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para2(i) under Part II of this Notification.

(a) Educational Qualifications Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification Note: i. Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable ii. In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification the qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. (b) Physical Fitness: (i) Must have at least 150 cm height. (This is also applicable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category) (ii) Eye sight:- Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (iv) Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test, as specified below. Sl. 1. Differently abled candidates and male candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. 2. The name of the post, qualification and related conditions for selection is notified as per the provisions included in G.O. (P) No. 89/2014/Home dated 06.05.2014, G.O.(P) No. 266/2010/Home dated 09.12.2010 and G.O(P)No.337/2012/Home dtd.28.12.2012 3. The Ranked List prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new Ranked List after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies listed above and that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked List during its term it shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. 4. Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. They shall undergo in-service training within the period of probation as prescribed by the Head of Department. They shall pass Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test within the period of probation unless they have already passed the test. Statewise Seniority will be maintained on the warder establishment for the purpose of promotion to other categories. 5. NCC Cadets having 'A', 'B' & 'C' Certificates will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively as per GO(Ms)No.112/2007/H.Edn, dated 21.08.2007. 6. Extra marks will be awarded to meritorious sports persons as per para 6 of the General Conditions. 7. Students Police Cadet (SPC) certificate holders will be given weightage marks as per GO(Ms)No.06/2025/P&ARD dated 01.03.2025
