18-39. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) (including relaxation as per Part II, Para 2(i) of General Conditions). For other age relaxations, refer to Part II, Para 2(i) of the General Conditions.

(a) Educational Qualification: Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. [KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable]. (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Minimum 150 cm height. (ii) Vision: Must be certified to have the following vision without glasses: Vision Category | Right Eye | Left Eye Distant Vision | 6/6 Snellen | 6/6 Snellen Near Vision | 0.5 Snellen | 0.5 Snellen (iii) Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification. (iv) Must be qualified in at least 5 (five) out of the 8 (eight) items in the National Physical Efficiency Test currently in force.

Note: Differently abled candidates and male candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. (i) Applications from candidates belonging to communities other than those included in this notification will be summarily rejected. (ii) The vacancy is currently existing. The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force until the publication of a new ranked list for the post for the same community, but candidates from the community will be advised against vacancies that remain unfilled. (iii) The name of the post, qualifications, and other conditions are as per G.O(P)No. 89/2014/Home, 9.12.2010 G.O(P)No. 266/2010/Home, 28.12.2012 G.O(P) No.337/2012/Home. (iv) (a) Candidates appointed shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining. (b) Appointees must complete the in-service training as per the instructions of the Department Head. (c) Must pass the Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers test within the probation period if not already passed. (d) A statewide seniority list will be maintained for promotion to other posts in the Warden establishment. Physical measurements will be taken prior to the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates without the prescribed physical measurements will not be allowed to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test. No further opportunity will be given to candidates who fail or are absent during the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates must produce a medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant in Government Service at the time of the Physical Efficiency Test. This certificate must also be uploaded to the profile during document verification.
