Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Hindu Nadar and Scheduled Tribe communities only).

18-43: Candidates belonging to Hindu Nadar community born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). 18-45: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). [Usual age relaxation as per General Conditions 2(i) is applicable]. Note: The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other examination recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. 2) A pass in T.T.C. Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemptions: 1. Candidates who have acquired M.Ed in the subject concerned recognized by any University in Kerala are exempted from passing K-TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O. (P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020). 2. Candidates who have qualified CTET Primary Stage are exempted from KTET Category I and those who have qualified CTET Elementary Stage are exempted from KTET Category II. As per G.O. (P) No. 1866829/J3/2017/G.Edn. dated 09.03.2018, CTET will not be accepted for KTET Category III and IV.

i) M.Ed degree must be from a University recognized by the Government of Kerala. ii) Candidates who have not studied Malayalam either in Part I or Part II of SSLC or whose medium of instruction is not Malayalam are not eligible for appointment. iii) B.Ed will not be accepted in lieu of T.T.C. iv) If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted, the question paper will be in Malayalam. Answers must be written in Malayalam. v) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. vi) Higher qualifications than those prescribed in the notification will be accepted if they are recognized by the Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualification.
