18-42 . Only candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years) Note:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions under part II of this notification, except para 2(i).

1. A pass in Standard VII/III Forum. 2. Must possess valid Driving License of three years, Standing to drive Medium/ Heavy Passengers/Goods Vehicles with badge. 3. Proficiency in Driving Medium/Heavy goods/Passengers motor vehicles which is to be proved by a practical test conducted by KPSC during the course of selection. Note:- Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will have to be proved at a practical test including H. Test and Road Test. Those who pass H. Test are eligible for Road Test. 4. Medical Fitness:- (a) Ear : Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye : Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision : Normal Night blindness : Nil (c) Muscles and Joints- No Paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movements. (d) Nervous Systems – Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Note:- (1) Physically Handicapped Candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. (2) Candidates should furnish the full details regarding the Driving License and experience in driving in the relevant column (qualifications)of the application form. (3) Candidates called for the Practical Test will have to produce Medical certificate in the prescribed form in original containing all relevant details as required in para 7 (4) above (except 4 b) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. A Medical Certificate regarding eye sight from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service also will have to be produced. 5. Candidate should possess a valied Driving License and Badge during the entire selection process.

(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply online only www.keralapsc.gov.in (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) Separate Ranked lists will be prepared for Malappuram district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district (iv) Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification and should note the name of that district against the relevant column of the application. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another District unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O. (Ms)No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post, in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Probation: Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
