Age Limit
21-39. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included). Usual relaxation for SC, ST, and Other Backward Communities is applicable. Refer to Part II of the Gazette notification (Para 2) for other age relaxation rules. Note: The upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years.
Qualifications
i) Ability to read and write in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada. ii) Must possess a current Motor Driving License for Heavy Duty Vehicles and Motor Cycles. Must have 3 years of experience in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil). Driving license must have endorsement for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger vehicles for licenses obtained after 16.01.1979. Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles must be proved in a practical test (including T Test and Road Test) conducted by the PSC.
Notes
1. Candidates must be willing to clean and oil motor vehicles. This must be recorded in the application. 2. Selected candidates must have the ability to drive Light Duty Vehicles as well. 3. Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply. 4. Candidates must record full details of driving license and experience in the application. 5. If the number of applicants is high, a written test (OMR/Online) may be conducted before the practical test. 6. Medical fitness certificate (original) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon and vision certificate from an Ophthalmologist in Government service are required. 7. Service details must be recorded in the experience certificate. 8. Candidates must possess a valid driving license and badge at all stages of selection. 9. Probation: 2 years of duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
