Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Tribes only during the pendency of the list.

Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for ST only)

20-36 : Only candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2000. (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.

(a) Educational qualification:-A pass in the Pre- Degree Examination of any recognized University or an equivalent qualification. Note :- Achievements in Sports, Military Training and Membership in the NCC shall be desirable. Note : 1. Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable 2. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 3.If the caste of candidates is wrongly mentioned in their SSLC book, they should claim their original caste in their applications and should produce community certificate issued from concerned revenue authority along with the Gazette Notification for the same at the time of certificate verification. (b) Physical Qualification: Must be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below. 1) Height : 160 cm 2) Chest Measurement : 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 (c) Must be certified by a Medical Officer of the Rank of District Medical Officer of the Health Services Department as to his physique and fitness and capacity for outdoor works and as to the visual standards specified below. Colour Blindness, Squint or any morbid condition of the eye or lid of either eye shall be a disqualification. 2) Candidates shall be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Feet, Varicose veins, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (d) Candidates should produce a medical certificate in original at the time of Certificate Verification in the form prescribed here under certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses obtained from a District Medical officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon. (e) Selection Test In addition to the qualification prescribed above every candidate will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test, and must qualify in at least 5 of the undermentioned 8 events for one star std which is the minimum requirements for the recruitment. The Physical Measurement of the candidates will be taken at the time of Physical Efficiency Test and those who do not possess the prescribed Physical Measurements will not be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test. Note:- 1 Differently Abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. 2 Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. 8. Training :- Every person appointed under this post shall undergo training for a period of 1 year in the Police Training college and Practical Training for 10 ½ months in the district as per syllabus. 9. Pay during the Training Period :- During the period of training candidates shall be paid minimum of the scale of pay plus usual allowance attached to the post. 10. Probation :- Every person appointed under this rule shall, from the date on which he completes practical training be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty with in a continuous period of 3 years. 14 Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. 15 Appointments are made on the basis of the rank secured in the ranked list of candidates prepared in pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated, 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3(c), 17(a), 17(b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958. 16 If written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of the selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Tickets in the last 15 days till the date of Test. The applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period, will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it. 17 As per Rule 22 of the KPSC Rules of procedure 1976, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against those candidates who submit application for the post with bogus claims of prescribed qualification, experience etc. and give confirmation for examination irrespective of whether they have appeared or not for the examination.
