Age Limit
20-36, Only Candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- The relaxation of age limit envisaged in the sub rule (c) rule 10 of the General Rules in Part II of the KS & SSR, 1958 shall not be applicable to the post.
Qualifications
a. Educational Qualification: 1) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (Plus 2) conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or its equivalent qualification. 2) National Trade Certificate in Radio / Television / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering / Computer / Information Technology or its equivalent qualification approved by Government of Kerala. 3) Two years experience in any one of the fields such as Radio / Television / Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering / Computer / Information Technology from any authorised / reputed public / private institution. Note:- 1 Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. 2 In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 3 The Certificate to be produced in proof of Experience shall in the form given below: b. Physical Qualification: Must be physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below: (a) (i) Height : 160 cm. (ii) Chest : 76 cm and a minimum expansion of 5 cm (b) Must be certified by a Medical Officer of the Rank of District Medical Officer of the Health Services Department as to his physique and fitness and capactity for outdoor works and as to the visual standards specified below: Vision Right Eye Left Eye 1) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen 2) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Note:- 1 Each eye must have a full field of vision. 2 Colour blindness, Squint or any morbid condition of eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification. (c) Candidates shall be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing etc. (d) Candidates should produce a Medical Certificate in original at the time of certificate verification in the form prescribed here under certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses obtained from a District Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Surgeon.
Notes
Note: - The above Vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year. Advice for appointment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes during the pendency of the list. Note 1:- Differently Abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. Note 2:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. - Training: Every Person selected for appointment shall undergo basic training for a period of 12 months in the Kerala Police Academy or Police Training College or in any such other Institutions as may be prescribed by the Government or the State Police Cheif. During the period of training the trainee shall be paid stipend equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of the post fixed by the Government by time to time. - Bond: Every person appointed to the post, shall execute a bond before joining training to the effect that he will serve the Department for a minimum period of 5 years after completion of training, failing which he will have to remit an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). - Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty in that post, on successful completion of training be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
