20-36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Note: The age relaxation provided in Rule 10(c) of Part II of KS & SSR 1958 is not applicable to this post.
Qualifications
a) Educational Qualification: 1) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (Plus Two) conducted by the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination. 2) National Trade Certificate in Radio/Television/Electronics/Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering/Computer/Information Technology or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Kerala. 3) 2 years experience in any of the fields mentioned above in any recognized public/private sector institution. b) Physical Qualifications: (a) (i) Height: 160 cm (ii) Chest: 76 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. (b) Must be physically fit and possess the following vision standards certified by a District Medical Officer of the Health Department: 1) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right), 6/6 Snellen (Left) 2) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right), 0.5 Snellen (Left) (c) Must be free from physical deformities like knock-knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (d) Candidates must produce a medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon in Government Service during document verification.
Notes
Note 1: These vacancies are currently existing. The rank list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a period of one year from the date of coming into force of the rank list. Vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Caste during the currency of the rank list will be filled from the rank list prepared as per this notification. Note 2: Differently abled candidates and women candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. Note 3: Applications of candidates not belonging to the Scheduled Caste community will be rejected. No individual communication regarding the rejection of applications will be sent. Note 4: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Note 5: Candidates must produce a bond to serve in the department for at least 5 years after completing training or pay an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/-. Note 6: Candidates must undergo 12 months of training at the Kerala Police Academy or Police Training College or any other institution decided by the State Government/State Police Chief. Note 7: Probation period is two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of appointment after successful completion of training.
