Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

20 – 36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.1993 are elgible to apply for this post (No other age relaxation will be allowed)

(a) Must be a Graduate Note: If sufficient number of fully qualified candidates are not available, applications of those who have passed Pre-university/Pre-Degree or equivalent examination of recognized University shall be considered. (b) Physical Qualifications Must be physically fit and should possess the following minimum physical standards. (i) Height : 160 cms (Without footwear) (Taller persons will be given preference) (ii) Chest : 76 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms. (iii) Should be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Right Eye Left Eye Distant vision 6/6 snellen 6/6 snellen Near vision 0.5 snellen 0.5 snellen Note: a) Each eye must have full field of vision. b) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be disqualification. c) Candidates should be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing etc. Should qualify in an examination to be held by the PSC (iv) Candidates should produce at the time of interview a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed here under certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses.The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon. (v) In addition to the qualification prescribed above, every candidate will be subjected to a physical efficiency test. (The physical measurements of the candidates will be taken before conducting physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurements will not be permitted to participate in the physical efficiency test. Candidates must qualify at least five of the undermentioned eight events of one star standard which is the minimum requirement for recruitment. Note:- 1) The above Vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list published in pursuance of this notification shall cease to be in force after a period of one year from the date of finalization of the Ranked List or after one month from the date of commencement of training in respect of the last batch of candidates advised from the Ranked list within a period of one year from the date of finalisation of the Ranked List, which ever is later. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancy and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Tibes only during the pendency of the list. Candidates will also be advised from this list against the vacancies exclusively reported for Scheduled Tribes and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list that fresh notification for Scheduled Tribes for vacancies reserved exclusively for them will be issued. Note:- 1 Women & Physically handicapped persons are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. 2 Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Note:- Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the certificate, as given above, and vague statements such as vision “normal”, etc. not be accepted. Specification for each eye should be stated separately.If the specifications are not as indicated above, the Officer issuing the certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision as the case may be, otherwise the certificate will not be accepted. Conditions of Service:- Candidates selected for appointment shall undergo training for a period of one year in the Police Training College or in such other institutions as may be specified by Government or the Director General of Police. The period of training shall not be treated as duty and shall not be counted for any service benefits including increment, probation etc and during the period of training the trainee shall be paid such stipend as may be specified by Government from time to time. On appointment, they will be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Every person appointed to the post shall execute a bond before he joins for training to the effect that he shall serve the department for a minimum period of five years.
