Age Limit
(1) The upper age limit for applicants shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2022.
Qualifications
1) Post Graduate Degree in Humanities, Science, Commerce, or Languages from any statutory university in India with not less than 50% marks. 2) (a) M.Ed degree with not less than 50% marks with specialization in any of the following from any statutory university in India: Adult Education, Non-formal Education, Social Work, Community Development, Special Education, Guidance and Counseling, Integrated Education, Inclusive Education, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). OR (b) M.Ed degree with not less than 50% marks along with a Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in any of the subjects mentioned in item 2(a) from any institution recognized by the Government of Kerala. 3) Not less than three years of permanent teaching service as Teacher Educators in Government Teacher Training Institutes or as Primary School Teachers/High School Teachers/Higher Secondary School Teachers/Vocational Higher Secondary School Teachers in Government Schools in Kerala.
Notes
1. In appointments by transfer, a 2:1 ratio is followed from the following categories: (i) Those appointed as teachers in Government Primary Schools and continuing in service as teachers. (ii) Those appointed as teachers in Government Higher Secondary Schools, Vocational Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, and as Teacher Educators in Teacher Training Institutes and continuing in service. 2. If qualified candidates from category (i) are not available, vacancies will be filled from category (ii) and vice versa. In the absence of qualified candidates from both (i) and (ii), vacancies will be filled by direct recruitment. 3. Candidates applying by transfer must obtain a Service Certificate in the prescribed format from their superior officer confirming regular service and produce it when required by the Commission. 4. Non-qualifying degrees like Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in relevant subjects will be given additional marks for ranking: M.Phil (2 marks), Ph.D (4 marks), M.Phil & Ph.D (5 marks), Post Doctoral Fellowship (2 marks). 5. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 6. Reservation rules as per the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958, Part II, Rules 14 to 17 are not applicable for appointment by transfer.
