22-40, Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities. (For other age relaxation conditions, see Part 2 of the Gazette Notification).

1) Post Graduate Degree in Humanities, Science, Commerce, or Languages from any statutory university in India with not less than 50% marks. 2) (a) M.Ed degree with not less than 50% marks with specialization in any of the following subjects from any statutory university in India: Adult Education, Non-formal Education, Social Work, Community Development, Special Education, Guidance and Counseling, Integrated Education, Inclusive Education, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). OR (b) M.Ed degree with not less than 50% marks from any statutory university in India along with a Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in any of the subjects mentioned in 2(a) from an institution recognized by the Government of Kerala. 3) Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the concerned subject/education or National/State level eligibility test (NET/SET) or M.Phil or Ph.D.

Note: 1) Candidates who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in the relevant subject as an additional qualification over and above the basic qualification prescribed for the post will be given additional marks for ranking as follows: Non-qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks 2) Non-qualifying qualifications mean additional qualifications acquired over and above the basic qualifications prescribed for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is considered as a basic qualification, no additional marks will be awarded. 3) Weightage marks will be given only for non-qualifying degrees acquired and claimed in the application before the last date of receipt of applications. 4) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 5) Degrees/Diplomas awarded by Universities/Institutions established under Acts passed by Parliament/State Legislatures or recognized by UGC are acceptable for appointment in Government service as per G.O(M.S)No.526/PD dated 17/07/1965. 6) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. 7) Candidates must claim the correct caste/community in the application. In case of discrepancy between the caste/community claimed and the entry in the SSLC book, the Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate along with the Gazette notification regarding the change in caste/community must be produced at the time of certificate verification.
