Age Limit
Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe: 19-41. Candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Dheevara, O X, Hindu Nadar: 19-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. (Including the relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the general conditions. Note : Those who were converted to Christianity from SC and their children are eligible for age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit. [For other conditions regarding the age relaxation, please see Para II of General Conditions]
Qualifications
1 Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Forestry of the Kerala Agricultural University or any other recognized University of India. OR A Degree from the Indian Institute of Forest Management. 2 Must have the following Physical Measurements For Male Candidates: Height : 163 cms Chest : 79 cms Normally with a minimum expansion of 5cms of full inspiration. For Female Candidates: Height : 150 cms Chest : 74 cms Normally with a minimum expansion of 5cms of full inspiration.
Notes
Note:- Applications submitted by candidates belonging to Communities other than the above mentioned communities will be summarily rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of their application will not be issued. Note:- Persons recruited direct to the Category of Rangers shall undergo practical training for a period of one year in the Forest Department prior to their appointment as Rangers. The period spent on practical training in the Department will not count for probation, leave, increment, pension, etc. During the period of practical training, trainees will be eligible for a monthly allowance at such rate fixed by Government from time to time.
