Direct Recruitment from candidates belonging to the communities mentioned in column No.4 of para 2 above.

SC & ST Candidates: 21 – 50 (Only candidates born between 02/01/1964 and 01/01/1993 (both dates included) For other communities: 21 – 49 (Only candidates born between 02/01/1965 and 01/01/1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply [including relaxation in Para 2(i) of the General Conditions] For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions except para 2 (i).

Qualifications (for Senior Lecturer): (i) Post Graduate Degree in the respective discipline from a recognised University (Viz. MD/MS/DNB) (ii) Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council) In the absence of candidates with the above qualification candidates (from the communities mentioned in Column No. 4 of Para 2 above) with (i) MBBS Degree from a recognised University (ii) Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council) will be considered for the post of Lecturer (salary as per the UGC Norms).

NOTE (Under Qualifications): 1. Rule 10 (a) ii of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable. 2. Separate Applications should be submitted for each category by the applicants who desire to apply for more than one Lecturer post. 3. Above qualifications must be acquired on or before the last date of receipt of application 4. Provisional Registration with any Medical Council will not be accepted. 5. Those who are appointed in the post should serve for four (4) years during the first ten(10) years of their service (including the period of training) anywhere in India or any other foreign country under defence services connected with defence, if required. Those who have completed 45 years of age are exempted from the above compulsory Military service. NOTE (Under Method of appointment): 1. Applications received from Scheduled Caste candidates for the vacancies marked for Scheduled Tribe community and vice versa will be considered in the absence of candidates from the concerned community. 2. Application submitted by candidates other than the communities mentioned above will be rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to them individually.
