Direct Recruitment (from among the reservation communities of Kerala State mentioned above only).

(i) 18 - 29. Only candidates born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in respect of LC/AI, Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, Muslim communities. (ii) 18 - 31. Only candidates born between 02.01.1992 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in respect of Scheduled Caste community. Other usual age relaxations are not applicable to this post.

I) Educational Qualification:- Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent examination. Preference will be given to those who have diploma in Computer Application. Note: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. II) Physical Qualifications:- A) Candidates must be physically fit and possess the following minimum physical standards: Height (Without shoes): LC/AI, Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, Muslim candidates: 152 cm Scheduled Caste candidates: 150 cm III) Must possess proficiency in Swimming. Note: A practical test will be conducted by the Commission to prove proficiency in swimming as detailed below: (i) Should swim 50 meters within 2 minutes 15 seconds. (ii) Ability to float for 2 (two) minutes in deep water in swimming pool. (Candidates must pass both tests to be declared successful in the swimming test.) IV) Sight Test: Must possess visual standards without glasses as given below: Right Eye / Left Eye (i) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen / 6/6 Snellen (ii) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen / 0.5 Snellen (iii) Field of Vision: Full / Full Note: (a) Each eye must have full vision. (b) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye will be treated as disqualification. (c) Special Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon Gr.II regarding physical efficiency, capacity for strenuous outdoor work and standards of vision as specified above should be produced at the time of interview. V) Endurance Test: A physical endurance test will be conducted by the Commission. Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of the 8 events specified in the National Physical Efficiency Standard: 1. 100 meters run - 17 seconds 2. High Jump - 106.00 cm 3. Long Jump - 305.00 cm 4. Putting the shot (4 kgs) - 488.00 cm 5. 200 meters run - 36 seconds 6. Throwing the throw ball - 14 meters 7. Shuttle race (4 x 25 meters) - 26 seconds 8. Skipping (1 minute) - 80 times

1. Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. 2. Candidates shall not apply to more than one district. 3. Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. 4. Candidates shall execute a bond as per rules to serve the department for a minimum period of 7 years after training. 5. Probation: Every person appointed to the post shall be on probation for a period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
