19-36. Candidates born between 2.1.1978 and 1.1.1995 (both dates included) only eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Note :- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years of age, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification.

(1) Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. (2) The minimum height shall be 152 cms, and in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the minimum height shall be 150 cms. (3) Eye Sight : Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye a. Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen b. Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Note:- (i) Each eye must have a full filed of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the Eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (ii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Foot, Varicose vein, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, Defective speech and hearing. (4) The candidates should produce a medical certificate from a medical officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon as to her physique, fitness and capacity for active outdoor work, when called for. Note:- (a) Candidates shall pass the written and Physical Efficiency test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission as in the selection for Women Police Constable. They shall qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency (one Star Standard test) Sl. Edn dtd 21.8.2007). (c) Physically handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for this post. (d) The physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement at that time will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the physical efficiency test, she will not be given further chance to participate in the test.

(i) Conventional type applications for the post will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online facility available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website viz www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year from the date of finalisation of the ranked list. (iii) Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates should submit application for this post to the concerned district office, where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the concerned District against the relevant column of the online application. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
