Anticipated Vacancies (District-wise: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod)

Recruitment by transfer (District wise) (i) Applications are invited from among any category of persons in the Last Grade Service in the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Department, Recruitment by transfer shall be made in the ratio of 3:1 against vacancies reserved for Last Grade Servants in the Kerala Excise and Prohibition as per GO (P) No.36/80/TD dated.28.04.1980. In the absence of qualified hands for appointment by transfer the vacancies shall be filled from ranked list prepared for direct recruitment. (ii) For recruitment by Transfer from among any category of persons in the Last Grade Service in the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Department, the applicant should be probationer/approved probationer/ full member of the Subordinate Service . The applicants should obtain a certificate from the Head of the Department or office showing their service particulars in the form given below uploaded the certificate in their profile and produce the same as and when required by the commission. Persons appointed through Employment Exchange or otherwise and working on a temporary / provisional basis are not eligible to apply for this post.

Candidates should not be above 50 years as on 01.01.2025

(i) A pass in SSLC or its equivalent Note:- i) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. ii) In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification the qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. (ii) Must possess current valid Heavy Motor Driving License of 3 years standing with endorsement for driving Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles and Drivers Badge. Note: i) The Driving License must remain valid through all the stages of selection process as on the last date for receipt of application, OMR test, Practical Test, verification of original documents etc. ii) Proficiency in Driving Heavy Goods/Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles will be examined by a Practical Test (T - test and Road test) conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Only those who have passed the ‘T’- test are eligible for Road Test (iii) Physical Fitness:- Must not be less than 165 cm in height and 83 cm round the chest with a minimum expansion of 4 cm. In the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe the minimum height shall be 160 cm. (iv) Medical Fitness (a) Ear- Hearing should be perfect (b) Eye-must be certified to possess the following specifications without glasses Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Colour Vision Normal, Night blindness Nil Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Colour Vision Normal, Night blindness Nil (c) Muscles and Joints: No Paralysis all joints with free movement (d) Nervous system: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases

Women candidates and Differently Abled candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. Separate ranked list will be prepared for each district. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed at the time of Practical Test. Candidates must produce a service certificate in original in the form prescribed after qualifying the practical test.
