Direct Recruitment (District wise) Note:- Appointment by Direct Recruitment and recruitment by transfer will be made in the ratio of 3:1. In the absence of qualified candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancy shall be filled up from ranked list prepared for direct recruitment.

21-39 i.e. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for the post Note: (i) Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxations as per the conditions mentioned in para 2 (1) of the General Condition of this notification (ii) For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para2(i) under Part II of this Notification.

(i) A pass in SSLC or its equivalent. Note:- 1. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. 2. In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification the qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. (ii) Must possess current valid Heavy Motor Driving License of 3 years standing with endorsement for driving Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles and Drivers Badge. Note: (i) The Driving License must remain valid through all the stages of selection process as on the last date for receipt of application, OMR test, Practical Test, verification of original documents etc. (ii) Proficiency in Driving Heavy Goods/Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles will be examined by a Practical Test (T - test and Road test) conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Only those who pass the ‘T’- test are eligible for Road Test (iii) Physical Fitness:- Must not be less than 165 cm in height and 83 cm round the chest with a minimum expansion of 4 cm. In the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe the minimum height shall be 160 cm.

(i) Women candidates and differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post (ii) The name, age limit and qualification of this post has been prescribed as per the GO(P)No.36/80/TD dated 28/4/1980 (SRO No.456/80) and GO (P) No.178/2015/TD dated.03.10.2015 (SRO No.669/2015) (iii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new Ranked List after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies listed above and that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked List during its term it shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. (iv) Candidates are prohibited from applying to more than one district in response to this Notification. (v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms) No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O (Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961.Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Note II:- (i) NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively as per G.O (MS)No.112/2007/H.Edn. Dated 21.08.2007. (ii) Students Police Cadet (SPC) Certificate holders will be given weightage marks as per G.O.(MS) No. 06/2025/P&ARD dated 01.03.2025. (iii) Extra marks will be awarded to meritorious sports persons as per para 6 of the general conditions.
