Direct Recruitment (District wise) Note : Ninety seven percent of the cadre strength shall be filled up or reserved to be filled up by direct recruitment (Out of which ten percent shall be filled up from Woman candidates and three percent for By Transfer candidates)

19 - 31 Candidates born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note i) Other backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per the conditions mentioned in Para2(i) of the General Condition of this notification. ii) For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para2(i) under Part II of this Notification.

1. Educational : Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. i) Rule 10 (a) ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. ii) In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification the qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient for the post. The Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the commission. 2. Physical Qualification : Must not be less than 165 cms in height and 81 cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Note: In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes the minimum height shall be 160 cms and the minimum chest measurement shall be 76 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. 3. Physique & Eye sight : (i) Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant as to his physique fitness and capacity for active outdoor work. The Medical Certificate has to be produced as and when called for. (ii) Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without spectacles. (a) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right Eye), 6/6 Snellen (Left Eye) (b) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right Eye), 0.5 Snellen (Left Eye) (c) Each eye must have full field of vision, Colour blindness, squint or any other morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer in government service not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant should be produced at the time of Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test and should be uploaded in their profile at the time of Certificate Verification. (4) Endurance Test: Must qualify in the Endurance Test of completing 2.5 kilometers race within 13 minutes. (5) Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star Standard Test) 1. 100 Metres Race: 14 Seconds 2. High Jump: 132.20 cm 3. Long Jump: 457.20 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 gms): 609.60 cm 5. Throwing the Cricket Ball: 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing(hands only): 365.80 cm 7. Pull ups or chinning: 8 times 8. 1500 Metres Run: 5 Minutes 44 seconds

Note I: (i) Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. (ii) The name, educational qualification and age for this post is notified as per G.O.(P)No.264/10/TD dated 10/11/2010 (SRO No.1025/10), G.O(P)No.178/2015/TD dated 03/10/2015 (SRO No.669/15) and G.O (P) No. 112/74/TD Dated 09.09.1974. (iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the Ranked List (as per notification AV(2)2376/14/GW dated 04.04.2016, Extra Ordinary Gazette dated 15.04.2016). Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the Ranked List. (iv) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another District unless he completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O (Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in anyone Districts are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Preference shall be given to Ex-serviceman. (vi) Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) shall not be appointed in the substantive posts till the successful completion of basic training for a period of not less than six months, subject to the minimum of 180 working days as may be decided by the Commissioner of Excise. Persons undergoing basic training shall be paid stipend as may be fixed by the Government from time to time. All the persons who did not undergo basic training will be placed under orders of training within a period of two years and those who did not successfully complete the basic training shall not be considered for future promotion. Note II: (i) NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively as per G.O (MS)No.112/2007/H.Edn. Dated 21.08.2007. (ii) Students Police Cadet (SPC) Certificate holders will be given weightage marks as per G.O.(MS) No. 06/2025/P&ARD dated 01.03.2025. (iii) Extra marks will be awarded to meritorious sports persons as per para 6 of the general conditions.
