By Transfer from any other class or category of the general subordinate service or from any other service. Note :- (i) Appointment by transfer and by Direct Recruitment shall be made in the ratio of 1:3. In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancy shall be filled up by direct recruitment. (ii). Candidates holding low paid posts in Kerala State Subordinate service (including part time contingent subordinate service) in the scale of pay lower than Rs 9190 – 15780/- can apply for the above post. The applicant should be an approved probationer/full member of the subordinate service. The applicant should obtain a certificate from the Head of Office showing their service particulars in the form given below and produce the same as and when required by the Commission. Persons appointed through Employment Exchange or otherwise and working on a temporary/provisional basis are not eligible to apply for the post in response to this notification. Service Certificate to be produced for recruitment by transfer as Driver Grade II (LDV) in accordance with G.O (P) No 11/74/PD dated 10.1.1974 1. Name of Candidate : 2. 18-50. i·e only candidates born between 01.01.1996 and 02.01.1964 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post.

1. A Pass in Standard VII/III Forum. 2. Must posses valid Driving Licence of three years standing to drive Light Motor Vehicle with Driver's badge. 3. Proficiency in Driving- Light motor vehicles (To be proved by a practical test conducted by KPSC during the course of selection). Note:- Proficiency in driving Light Duty Vehicles will have to be proved in a practical test including H.Test and Road Test. Those who pass H.Test are eligible for Road Test. 4 . Medical Fitness :- (a) Ear – Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye- Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision : Normal Night blindness : Nil (c ) Muscles and joints : No paralysis, all joints with free movement. (d) Nervous System : Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

Note :- (i) Conventional type application will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online application available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website. (ii) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for each districts in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment in the ratio of 1:3 for by transfer and Direct recruitment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the lists. In case no candidates is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the Ranked List shall be extended for a further period of one year or till atleast one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer the vacancy shall be filled up by Direct recruitment. (iii) Applications should not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification. Candidates should note the name of the concerned District against the relevant column of the online application. Note: (a) Candidates should submit separate application for Direct recruitment and Recruitment by transfer. (b) Candidate who submit applications for recruitment by transfer should furnish a service certificate in original attested from the Head of the office at the time of sending application and produced as and when required by the commission. (iv) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subjet to the rules in G.O.(MS)No. 4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (iii) Low paid employees in the State Subordinate Service who apply under this category are exempted from the minimum General Educational qualification. (iv). The Commission will conduct a competitive test for Direct Recruitment and by Transfer candidates. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the test, seperate ranked lists will be prepared for Direct Recruitment and Recruitment by Transfer in respect of each district. (v). The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in the Rules 14to 17 of Part II or the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules. 1958 are not applicable to appointment by transfer. (vi). Candidate who are eligible to apply for both Direct Recruitment and recruitment by transfer need not select the same district for both categories. But they should submit separate applications for each category even if they selected the same district. Candidates who are included both in the list and advised from any one of the lists shall be deleted from the other lists. 1 Physically Handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. 2 Candidates should furnish the full details regarding the Driving Licence and experience in driving in the relevant column (qualifications) of the application form. 3 A practical test will be conducted for the selection to this post. 4 Candidates called for practical Test will have to produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed form in original containing all relevant details as required in para 7(iv)(except iv (b) above from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. A Medical certificated regarding eye sight from as Ophthalmologist in Government Service also will have to be produced. 5 Candidates from the ranked list prepared in response to this notification will be advised for appointment as per turn against Head Quarters vacancies also. 6 Candidates should possess a current Driving Licence and badge on the date of application OMR test and on the date of practical Test and Interview on the entire stage of selection process. Probation : Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
