18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part 2, Paragraph 2 of the General Conditions).

(1) Must have passed SSLC or equivalent qualification. (2) Must possess any one of the following qualifications: (a) KGCE in Civil Engineering (Two year course). (b) Draftsman Certificate in Civil Trade from an Industrial Training Institute or Centers run by the Government of India, after completing 18 months course followed by 6 months practical training. (c) Civil Engineering Diploma from Women's Polytechnics (Two year course).

1. The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published for the same post after one year, the previous list will cease to exist. Appointments will be made from the existing list to the vacancies shown above and any further vacancies reported during the validity of the list. 2. The Kerala Public Service Commission reserves the right to cancel any advice for appointment to the above post if it is found to be incorrect later. The appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate immediately upon cancellation of the advice. However, the termination shall be within the probation period or within 240 days of joining duty, whichever is earlier. 3. As per G.O (P) No.30/2013/SJD dated 04.04.2013, 3% of the vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing impairment, Low vision). 4. K.S & S.S.R Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 5. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. 6. Candidates claiming a specific caste/community in the application must produce a Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate along with a Gazette notification regarding the change in caste/community at the time of certificate verification if the caste/community differs from the SSLC book. 7. Candidates who provide false claims regarding education, experience, etc., and fail to appear for the examination after giving confirmation will face disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22. 8. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. 9. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. The print out must be produced during correspondence with the Commission. 10. If a written/OMR/online test is conducted, candidates must provide confirmation through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who provide confirmation can download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the exam date. Failure to provide confirmation will lead to the rejection of the application.
