Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes only).

18-41 Only Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But, in no case, the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

1) Must have passed the SSLC Examination or its equivalent examination. 2) Must possess anyone of the qualifications mentioned below (A) National Trade Certificate in Draftsman Civil or Surveyor OR (B) Group Certificate in Kerala Government Certificate of Engineering. (Group Certificate will include all the four subjects namely Building, Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation.) OR (C) A pass in Madras Government Technical Examinations / Kerala Government Technical Examination in the following seven subjects namely (i) Surveying and Levelling (Higher) (ii) Applied Mechanics (Higher) (iii) Building Materials and Construction (Higher) (iv) Building, Drawing and Estimating (Higher) (v) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher) (vi) Geometrical Drawing (Higher) (vii) Mensuration (Lower) OR (D) Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years Course) of Women's Polytechnics of the State. OR (E) Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Rural Institute Thavanur.

Note:- The above Vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published for this post under the same method of appointment. Advices for appointment will be made for the above vacancy and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe during the pendency of the list. Vacancies of the above post reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will also be advised from this list and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list, fresh notification for 'Scheduled Tribes' will be issued for such vacancies. Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Note :- 1) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
