21-42, Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included). [Including the relaxations given in Para 2(i) of the General Conditions] Note:- In no case the upper age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years except the relaxations mentioned in Part II of the General Conditions (Para 2) of this notification.

i) Must be able to read and write in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada. ii) Must possess current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil) and Motor Cycles and 3 years experience of driving Heavy Duty Vehicles. Licence obtained after 16.01.1979 must have endorsements for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger vehicles. Applications from those having endorsements for any one of these alone will be summarily rejected. (See the amendment No. 47/78 to the Motor Vehicles Act). Note:- Practical test (including T Test) to ascertain proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will be conducted by the PSC. Only those who pass the Ground Test (T Test) will be allowed to participate in the Road Test. Note: i) KS & SSR Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. ii) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, in the Qualifications column and such qualification along with the equivalency order and provisional/degree certificate, produce the same by the candidate at the time of verification, alone will be considered for the post. iii) Physical Fitness : (a) Ear : Hearing power should be perfect. (b) Eye : Right Left Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision : Normal. Night Blindness : Nil. (c) Muscles and Joints : No paralysis and all joints with free movements. (d) Nervous System : Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. iv) Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen or persons served in the Territorial Army. (Self attested full copies of Discharge Certificate and Pension Payment Order should be produced as and when called for).

1) Candidates applying for the post should be willing to clean vehicles and to do oiling works. This matter should be recorded in the relevant column of the application for qualification. 2) Selected candidates should have the capability to drive Light Duty Vehicles also. 3) Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. 4) Candidates should record the details regarding Driving Licence, driving experience etc. in the relevant column of the application. 5) If a written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile. 6) Provisional Medical Fitness Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon and Vision Certificate from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service should be produced at the time of practical test. 7) Details regarding service in Armed Forces should be shown in the experience certificate. 8) Rank List will be prepared in pursuance of this notification and shall remain in force for a minimum period of 3 years or till the advice made against the vacancies earmarked for the community are exhausted whichever is earlier.
