Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes residing in forest and forest-adjacent settlement colonies of Wayanad, Malappuram (Nilambur Block), and Palakkad (Attappady Block) districts belonging to Paniyan, Adiyan, and Kattunaickan communities only).

19 - 36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1998 (both dates included). No other age relaxation is applicable for this selection.

1) Educational Qualification :- Passed Plus Two (+2) examination or its equivalent. Note: 1) In the absence of qualified candidates, candidates who have passed 8th standard will also be considered. 2) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable for this post. 2) Physical Qualification :- Height-Minimum 160 cm (Relaxation up to 155 cm is permissible), Chest-Minimum 76 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion (Relaxation up to 72 cm is permissible). 3) Athletic Efficiency and Vision :- (i) Must possess physical efficiency and fitness to perform outdoor duties actively. Fitness certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon should be produced when required. (ii) Must certified to possess visual standards without glasses as specified below: a) Distant Vision - Right Eye: 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen b) Near Vision - Right Eye: 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye: 0.5 Snellen c) Colour Vision - Normal d) Night Blindness - Nil Note: (1) Full vision is required for each eye. Colour blindness, squint, or morbid conditions of eyes or eyelids will be treated as disqualification. (2) Knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bowed legs, deformed limbs, prominent teeth, protruding teeth, stammering, and speech defects etc., are physical impairments and will be treated as disqualification. 4) Physical Efficiency Test :- Candidates must pass the Physical Efficiency Test conducted by the Public Service Commission. Must qualify in any 3 (three) events out of the 8 (eight) events given below under the National Physical Efficiency Test one-star standard: 1. 100 Meters Run - 14 Seconds 2. High Jump - 132.20 cm 3. Long Jump - 457.20 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 grams) - 609.60 cm 5. Throwing the Cricket Ball - 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing (Using hands only) - 365.80 cm 7. Pull up or Chinning - 8 times 8. 1500 Meters Run - 5 Minutes 44 Seconds

Note:-(i) Differently abled persons and women are not eligible to apply for this notification. (ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad districts. (iii) Applications must be sent to the respective District Offices of the KPSC (Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad). (iv) Certificate from Revenue Authorities proving community (Paniyan, Adiyan, Kattunaickan) must be obtained before the last date of receipt of application and produced along with application. (v) Certificate from Forest Ranger / Tribal Extension Officer proving permanent residence in forest/forest-adjacent settlement colonies must be obtained before the last date and produced. Training: Successful candidates shall undergo basic training for not less than 6 months (not less than 180 working days as per Excise Commissioner's instruction). Stipend will be paid as per government rates. Those who fail to undergo/complete training successfully will not be considered for promotion. NCC Certificates: NCC 'A', 'B', 'C' certificate holders will be given 2%, 3%, 5% extra marks respectively as per G.O.(Ms) No.112/2007/GAD dated 21.08.2007.
