21-42. Only candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post (including the relaxations as per Para 2 (1) of the General Conditions). Note: For other concessions allowed in upper age limit, look into the General Conditions (except Para 2(i)) of this notification.

(i) Pass in S.S.L.C. or equivalent qualification. (KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable) (ii) Must possess valid Driving Licence of 3 years standing to drive Heavy Goods & Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles with Driver's Badge. Note: (a) Driving Licence, shall be valid through all the stages of selection processes viz, Date of Application, OMR Test, Practical Test, Verification of Records etc. (b) Proficiency to drive Heavy Goods & Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles will have to be proved through a practical test conducted by the KPSC consisting of 'T' Test and Road Test. Those who pass 'T' Test alone will be allowed to participate in Road Test. (iv) Physical Fitness: Must be 165 cm in height and 83 cm round the chest and with a minimum expansion of 4 cm. (v) Medical Fitness: (a) Ear: Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Right Eye | Left Eye Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen | 6/6 Snellen Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen | 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision: Normal Night Blindness: Nil (c) Muscles and Joints: No paralysis and all joints with free movements. (d) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Note: (i) Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. Knock-knee, flat foot, varricose veins, deformed limbs, clumsy hands, prominent teeth, defective speech and hearing and any other physical deformities are considered as disqualification. (ii) Candidates should produce a Medical Certificate regarding physical fitness and visual standards (without glasses) obtained from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant along with Medical Fitness certificate obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant in Government Service in the prescribed format at the time of practical test. The certificate should be uploaded in their profile.

i) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be subject to the rules amended as per G.O(P)No.36/80/TD dated 28.04.1980, G.O(P)No.178/2015/TD dated 03.10.2015. ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than the one notified will be summarily rejected without informing them. iii) The rank list prepared as per this notification shall remain in force for a period of three years from the date on which it comes into force or till the date of expiry of the provisional list published for this post or till the advice of candidates against the earmarked vacancies for the above community is over, whichever is earlier. iv) The selection pursuant to this notification will be made on district-wise basis, subject to the special rules issued as per G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person appointed to service on district-wise basis shall not be eligible for transfer from one district to another for a period of 5 years from the date of commencement of service in the district. v) NCC 'A', 'B' & 'C' Certificates shall be given weightage marks at the rate of 2%, 3% and 5% respectively (as per GO (MS) No.112/2007/H.Edn dated 21.08.2007).
