Age Limit
(a) Dheevara Community : 19 - 34, Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (b) Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Community : 19-36, Only candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply (including the relaxation as per General Condition 2(1)). Note : In no case the upper age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.
Qualifications
1. Plus Two or equivalent examination passed. 2. Physical Measurements: (a) Dheevara Community: Height-minimum 165 cm, Chest-minimum 81 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion). (b) SC/ST Community: Height-minimum 160 cm, Chest-minimum 76 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion). 3. Physical Efficiency and Eye Sight: (i) Must be physically fit and possess good physical stamina and agility required for outdoor work. (ii) Eye Sight without glasses: Right Eye: Distant Vision-6/6 Snellen, Near Vision-0.5 Snellen Left Eye: Distant Vision-6/6 Snellen, Near Vision-0.5 Snellen (Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification). (iii) Must be free from apparent bodily defects such as knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular teeth, protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. 4. Endurance Test: Must pass a 2.5 kilometres run within 13 minutes. 5. Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any 5 out of 8 events of the National Physical Efficiency Test.
Notes
(i) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable. (ii) NCC 'A', 'B', 'C' certificates holders will be given 2%, 3%, 5% weightage marks respectively. (iii) Must undergo a minimum of 6 months training and pass the test with stipend as per rules.
