Clerk (Tamil and Malayalam Knowing)

10% (ten percent) of vacancies arising in the post of Clerk/Village Assistant (Tamil and Malayalam Knowing) in the Revenue Department in Idukki district are reserved for employees serving in subordinate services of the Kerala Government drawing a salary below Rs. 26,500-60,700/- as per G.O.(P) No. 12/2010/P&ARD dated 05.04.2010.

By Transfer (Idukki district only)

Candidates applying for this category are exempted from the prescribed educational qualification (SSLC) and upper age limit. However, they must have knowledge of Tamil and Malayalam languages. Candidates in this category are not eligible for benefits meant for differently-abled persons.

Candidates must be an approved probationer or full member of the subordinate service of the Kerala Government drawing a salary below Rs. 26,500-60,700/-. They must have knowledge of Tamil and Malayalam languages. Temporary employees appointed through employment exchanges or other means are not eligible.

(i) Candidates must obtain a service certificate in the prescribed format from the Head of Office and produce it when required by the Commission. (ii) A competitive examination will be conducted for candidates applying by transfer. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks to be eligible for the rank list. (iii) Reservation rules applicable to the second part of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules are not applicable to this appointment. (iv) If candidates are not available for the 10% reserved vacancies, they will be filled from the rank list prepared for direct recruitment. (v) Candidates eligible for both direct recruitment and by-transfer appointment must submit separate applications for both. If a candidate is advised from one rank list, they will be removed from the other (Rule 18 (iii) KPSC Rules of Procedure). (vi) Candidates advised for appointment will be sent for departmental service training if they have not already passed the service test. (vii) Selection will be based on a competitive examination at the SSLC level. (viii) Candidates desiring appointment in Kerala State Archives must provide a consent letter. They will be eligible for appointment to other departments as per rules, but once advised for the State Archives, they will not be considered for other departments. They must complete the prescribed training successfully during the probation period. (ix) Examination will be held at various centers in Idukki district. (x) Selection is subject to special conditions in G.O.(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed through district-wise rank lists cannot transfer to another district for five years.
