Age Limit
18 - 36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Qualifications
1) Pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination. 2) Must possess knowledge of Tamil and Malayalam languages. 1. Must have secured not less than 40% marks in the written test for Tamil and Malayalam languages. 2. Candidates advised for appointment to the Registration Department must pass a written test in Tamil language as per G.O (MS) 357/77/GAD dated 04/10/1977. 3. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. 4. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification, and the qualifications fixed by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed in the Special Rules, and the higher qualifications which have the prescribed basic qualification as the base, shall be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications should be produced at the time of requirement by the Commission.
Notes
Note: The post includes the combined post of Clerk/Village Assistant (Tamil and Malayalam knowing) in the Revenue Department. (i) The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the District Officer, Thiruvananthapuram during the period of currency of the list. (ii) 4% of the vacancies reported for this post are reserved for differently abled candidates as per G.O(P)No.19/2020/SJD dated 25/08/2020 and G.O(P)No.07/2022/SJD dated 28/10/2022. (iii) Candidates applying for both Direct Recruitment and Recruitment by Transfer must submit separate applications. If a candidate is advised from more than one ranked list, their name will be removed from other ranked lists as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 18(iv). (iv) Candidates advised for appointment to the combined post of Clerk/Village Assistant (Tamil and Malayalam knowing) in the Revenue Department, if they have not already passed the Survey Test, will be sent for Departmental Survey Training. (v) Selection will be based on a competitive examination based on SSLC standard. (vi) Candidates desiring appointment as Clerk (Tamil and Malayalam knowing) in Kerala State Archives must give a consent letter. They will be eligible for appointment to other departments as per their turn. However, once advised for appointment in State Archives, they will not be considered for appointment in other departments. Candidates appointed as Clerk (Tamil and Malayalam knowing) in State Archives must successfully complete the training in Old Script as prescribed by the Government during the probation period. (vii) The examination will be held at various centers in Thiruvananthapuram district. Candidates are bound to appear for the examination at the center allotted to them. (viii) Selection is subject to the special provisions in G.O.(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Inter-district transfer is not allowed for five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfers are subject to the conditions in G.O.(P) No.36/91/P&ARD dated 02.12.1991 and G.O.(P) No.5/2013/P&ARD dated 06.02.2013. This restriction does not apply to transfers to Idukki, Kasaragod, and Wayanad districts as per G.O.(P) 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.03.1996. This benefit is available only once in their service. Candidates already in Government service in the same post are not eligible to apply, but can apply for higher posts. (ix) Candidates must produce Aadhaar card as identity proof in their profile. (x) If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who submit confirmation can download the admission ticket 15 days before the exam date. Failure to submit confirmation will lead to rejection of the application.
