18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities.

A) General: (i) Pass in Pre-Degree or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in Science subjects. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 10% marks relaxation and socially and educationally backward classes are eligible for 5% marks relaxation. (ii) Ex-servicemen who have served in the Armed Forces for not less than 15 years and have passed Class-I Blood Transfusion Assistant test are eligible. B) Technical: Must have passed Medical Laboratory Technician Training Course conducted by Medical Colleges in Kerala or Public Health Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram or equivalent qualification.

(i) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. In case the list is not exhausted within three years, a new list will be published. Candidates will be advised from the Ranked List for the vacancies reported during the period of currency of the list. (ii) Selection will be made on a district-wise basis subject to the special rules in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates advised for appointment from the district-wise ranked list will not be allowed to transfer to another district for a period of 5 years from the date of commencement of service. After 5 years, transfer will be subject to G.O.(MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. (iii) Candidates should submit applications to any one district and specify the district name in the online application. Submitting applications to more than one district will lead to rejection of applications and disciplinary action. (iv) 4% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per G.O.(P)No.7/2022/SJD dated 28.10.2022. (v) Candidates must confirm their participation in the OMR/Online test through their profile. Failure to confirm will lead to rejection of application.
