18-36, Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.

1. General: Pass in Pre-Degree or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in Science subjects. Ex-servicemen who have passed Class-1 Blood Transfusion Assistant Test and have put in not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces are eligible. 2. Technical: Must have passed Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma Course conducted by the Medical Colleges in Kerala or Public Health Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram or any other equivalent qualification.

(i) The ranked list prepared and published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. (ii) Candidates should submit the application online to the district concerned and note the name of the district in the specified column. (iii) Selection to this post will be made on a district-wise basis in accordance with the special rules G.O.(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.71. A person selected for appointment in a district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district for five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfer to another district will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in government service in this post in any district are not eligible to apply for this notification. (iv) In case of any discrepancy in the caste/community recorded in the SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste/community in the application and produce the original caste certificate/non-creamy layer certificate and gazette notification regarding the change at the time of OTR verification. (v) Candidates must produce the original documents for educational qualification, experience, caste, age, etc., when required by the Commission. (vi) Candidates must provide their Aadhar card as identity proof in their profile.
