18-36. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of the Gazette Notification.

(a) General : Pass in Standard VII or its equivalent. (b) Technical : i. I.T.I. Trade certificate in the trade of Plumber or equivalent. OR ii. Five years practical experience in Plumbing in any recognised/ approved Engineering Firm. In the absence of item (ii) above Work Establishment Service as Plumber in Water Works for not less than 5 years.

i. Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. ii. Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Kannur District in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against aforesaid vacancy and also against the vacancies reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years, the duration of the Ranked List shall be extended for a further period of one year or till atleast one candidate is advised from the list, whichever is earlier. iii. Candidates should submit application for the post to the above district, where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. iv. The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS.) No. 154/71/P.D., dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/ she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(P.) No. 36/91/P.&A.R.D. dated 02.12.1991. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. v. 4% of the total vacancies reported for the above post shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified by G.O(P.)No. 05/2024/S.J.D. dated 07.02.2024. Note (Qualifications): i. In view of the ardous and special nature of the duties and responsibilities attached to the post, only male candidates will be eligible for appointment to the post. ii. Rule 10 (a) ii of K.S.&S.S.R. Part II is applicable for selection to this post. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by Executive Orders/ Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to the qualifications specified for the post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of Government Orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualifications shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission.
