By transfer from qualified employees working in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, or Office Attendant.

1) A degree in Malayalam conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR a degree with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III, plus a B.Ed/B.T/L.T degree conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemptions: 1. Candidates who have acquired NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from the requirement of passing the TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O. (P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020). 2. Candidates who have passed CTET primary stage are exempted from KTET CATEGORY I and those who have passed CTET Elementary stage are exempted from KTET CATEGORY II. As per the government circular 1866829/J3/2017/General Education dated 09.03.2018, CTET qualification is not accepted as a substitute for KTET CATEGORY III and IV.

i) M.Phil degree in the relevant subject must be from a recognized university in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by a university in Kerala. ii) Candidates with Post Graduate degree in Malayalam and B.Ed/B.T/L.T degree can apply. iii) B.Ed must be in the relevant subject, i.e., Malayalam. iv) The optional subject studied for the degree/post-graduate degree and the subject in which B.Ed/B.T was obtained must be mentioned in the application. v) Employees in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, or Office Attendant who entered service before 31.03.2012 and have completed the prescribed service are exempted from passing K-TET. vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. vii) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the government order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. 3. Must have not less than 5 years of service as Clerk, Typist, Attender, or Office Attendant in the General Education Department as of the date of application.
