By transfer from qualified employees in the General Education Department working as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender, Binder etc. (See note 7(3))

(1) A Degree in Malayalam from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification or a Degree with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification and B.Ed/B.T/L.T from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification. OR Title of Oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.

i) Candidates must submit applications online through the official website of the Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected. ii) The vacancies set apart for by-transfer recruitment will be filled from the rank list prepared for direct recruitment if suitable candidates are not available for by-transfer. iii) Candidates must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service as on the date of application. iv) A separate rank list will be prepared for each district. The rank list will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published for the same post in the same district after one year, the previous list will cease to be valid. Appointments will be made from the existing list for the vacancies reported during the validity period. v) Candidates can apply for only one district. If a candidate applies for more than one district, all applications will be rejected. vi) Selection is district-wise as per G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Transfer to another district is not allowed for five years from the date of joining service. vii) Since this is a by-transfer appointment, reservation rules under Part II of KS & SSR (Rules 14 to 17) are not applicable. viii) Candidates must have completed not less than five years of service in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender, Binder etc. as on the date of application. ix) Candidates must possess the required service certificate in the prescribed format signed by the Head of Office/Department.
