18 - 39. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post (including age relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para (2) of the General Conditions except Para 2(i).

1. Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification. 2. Must posses current Motor Driving Licence (Light duty vehicles) at least three years standing and Drivers Badge. 3. Proficiency in Driving light duty Vehicles to be proved through a Practical Test iv. Medical Fitness :- (a) Ear - Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye -Distant vision : 6/6 Snellen, Near vision : 0.5 snellen, Colour Vision : Normal, Night blindness : Nil (c) Muscles and joints- No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. (d) Nervous System- Perfectly normal (e) Free from any infectious diseases. ( GO (P) No 362/95/GAD Dated 29.09.1995 )

Note I : The above vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above mentioned community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates belonging to the above mentioned community during the currency of the Ranked List published on 04.10.2024 for the post (Cat No. 131/23). Note II: A) Drivers Badge has been exempted for driving Light Motor Vehicles from 12.10.2018 B) Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II of KS &SSR is applicable. C) The practical test for candidates seeking appointment by direct recruitment will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. D) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the qualifications specified for the post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. Note III : 1) Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. 2) Candidates should furnish full details regarding the Driving Licence in the relevant column (qualifications) of the application form. 3) Candidates called for the practical test will have to produce Medical certificate in original in the prescribed form containing all relevant details as required in para 7 (iv) above (except iv b) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. A Medical Certificate regarding eye sight as per Para 7 (iv) (b) from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service also will have to be produced. (Form of Medical certificate is appended below of this Notification). 4) Candidate should possess current valid Driving Licence and badge through out all the stages of selection process, i.e on the last date of receipt of application, OMR Test/Online Test and Practical Test. (Drivers Badge has been exempted for driving Light Motor Vehicles from 12.10.2018 ) Probation :- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within continuous period of three years.
