Direct Recruitment from PH (Locomotor disability /Cerebral Palsy, Hearing impairment) categories .

Locomotor disability /Cerebral Palsy: 19-46. Only candidates born between 02.01.1967 and 01.01.1994. Hearing impairment:19-50. Only candidates born between 02.01.1963 and 01.01.1994. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

1 Should possess any one of the following qualifications. a) SMT (Sree Moolam Technical Institute) Overseer Certificate (2 Years) OR b) Draftsman course, College of Engineering, Guindy. Or c) Group Certificate under MGTE or KGTE. Note: Group Certificate will include all the 4 groups viz Building Drawing, Building construction, Survey and Irrigation. OR d) A pass in 8 subjects under KGTE/MGTE Viz 1. Surveying & Levelling (Higher) 2. Applied Mechanics (Higher) 3. Building Materials and Construction (Higher) 4. Hydraulics & Irrigation (Higher). 5. Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher). 6. Earthwork & Road making (Higher). 7. Geometrical Drawing (Lower) or practical plane & Solid Geometry (Lower) 8. Mensuration (Lower). OR e) Certificate course of college of Engineering, Trivandrum. (2 Years course) OR f) Draftsman (civil) or Draftsman (Mechanical) Diploma obtained after 18 months course (followed by 6 months practical training) at the Industrial Training Center conducted by the Govt.of India, Ministry of Labour at Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Chalakkudy, Kannur or elsewhere. OR g) Pass in Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. OR h)National Apprenticeship certificate in the trade of Draftsman (Civil) or Draftsman (Mechanical) awarded after completion of full term apprenticeship for a minimum period of 3 years. OR I) Pass in Overseer Course conducted by Government. OR j) Surveying & Levelling KGTE/MGTE with any three of the following subjects. 1) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher). 2) Building Materials and Construction (Higher) 3) Earthwork & Road making (Higher). 4) Hydraulics & Irrigation (Higher). 5) Applied Mechanics (Higher) OR k) Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years course ) of the Womens Polytechnic of the state.

(i) The number of candidates to be included in the short list/probability list of the above post will be decided as per the availability of admitted applications. (ii) The Ranked list prepared in the pursuance of this notification is intended to make recruitment to the backlog vacancies earmarked for the various categories and PH groups as per GO(p) No.8/10/SWD dtd 01.02.10 and will remain in force for a maximum period of three years subject to the condition that the ranked list will cease to exist as and when candidates are advised and appointed against the above mentioned vacancies Rule 14 to 17 of Part II KS&SSR are not applicable to this selection. Candidates will be advised and appointed against the above mentioned vacancies and also against backlog vacancies, if any reported by appointing authorities as earmarked in GO(p) No. .8/10/SWD dated.01.02.2010 Selection to the above mentioned vacancies will be made from the (Locomotor disability /Cerebral Palsy, Hearing impairment) PH categories found suitable for the post as per existing Govt.Order and vacancies will be apportioned among these categories in the ratio of 1:1:1 If any of these categories are not eligible for a post the vacancies will be apportioned among the other category. (iii) The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidate to the above post, if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake. On such cancellation, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate, provided that, the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made within the period of probation or 240 days from the date of joining duty whichever is earlier. Note:- Application submitted by candidates other than those belonging to PH category will be rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be sent to them . Note: 1) Candidates who have successfully completed the Industrial Training for 18 months will also be treated as qualified even if they have not completed the period of inplant training. But their appointments will be treated as provisional and regularised only after completion of 6 months training. 2) Diploma in draftsman ship (Trade Test Certificate) in the trade of Draftsman (Civil) or Mechanical awarded to private candidates without insisting on 6 months practical training will be treated as an alternative qualification for direct recruitment to the post. Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ‘ on the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' for applying for the post. Candidates who have already registered shall apply by logging on to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates shall click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions of the notification will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, community, age and disability certificate from the standing disability assessment board have to be produced as and when called for . As per para 7 of GO(P) No.7/11/SWD dtd 24.01.2011, appropriate adjustment will be made, if necessary, in the ratio among different category, as and when the Govt.issued appropriate orders there to , in order to recoup the paucity in the share due to blind & deaf category during the period up to 2003.
