18-39. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) (including age relaxation as per Part II, Para 2(i) of the General Conditions). For other age relaxations, refer to Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions (excluding 2(i)).

(a) Educational Qualification: Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. [KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable]. (b) Physical Qualifications: (I) Minimum height of 150 cm. (II) Vision: Must be certified to have the following vision without glasses: Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen Note: (1) Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids will be considered a disqualification. (2) Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, curved limbs, deformed limbs, hare lip, protruding teeth, stammering, and defects in hearing or speech. (iii) Must qualify in at least 5 (five) out of the 8 (eight) items in the National Physical Efficiency Test with one-star standard: 1. 100 Meter Run: 17 Seconds 2. High Jump: 1.06 Meters 3. Long Jump: 3.05 Meters 4. Putting the Shot (4 kg weight): 4.88 Meters 5. 200 Meter Run: 36 Seconds 6. Throwing the Throw Ball: 14 Meters 7. Shuttle Race (25X4 Meters): 26 Seconds 8. Skipping (1 minute): 80 times

(i) Applications submitted by candidates not belonging to the reservation community mentioned in this notification will be summarily rejected without notice. (ii) In case of any discrepancy in the caste details in the SSLC book, it must be notified in the Gazette. The caste certificate/non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Revenue Authority along with the relevant Gazette notification must be produced at the time of verification. (iii) The vacancies mentioned are currently existing. The rank list prepared as per this notification will be valid for 3 years from the date of publication or until the expiry of the rank list published for this post, whichever is earlier. (iv) The name, age limit, qualifications, and other conditions are as per G.O(P)No. 89/2014/Home dated 06.05.2014, G.O(P)No. 266/2010/Home dated 9.12.2010, and G.O(P) No.337/2012/Home dated 28.12.2012. (v) (a) Candidates appointed will be on probation for two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining. (b) Appointees must complete in-service training as per the instructions of the Head of Department. (c) If not already passed, they must pass the Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers' test within the probation period. (d) A state-level seniority list will be maintained for promotion to other posts in the Warder establishment. (vi) Physical measurements will be taken before the physical efficiency test. Candidates without the prescribed measurements will not be allowed to participate. No second chance will be given for physical efficiency test if any accident or injury occurs. Candidates must produce a medical certificate in the prescribed form from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant at the time of the physical efficiency test and upload it to their profile during document verification.
