18 - 41. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). In the absence of qualified candidates within the specified age limit, relaxation up to 50 years is allowed. However, in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

1. Pass in Plus Two or equivalent qualification. 2. Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) and Certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent. (Note: Candidates who have passed KGTE Typewriting before January 2002 must also produce a certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent.) 3. Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) or equivalent. 4. Lower Grade Certificate in English Shorthand (KGTE) or equivalent. 5. Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Shorthand (KGTE) or equivalent. (G.O (Ms) No.21/2011/P&ARD dated 01.07.2011). Certificates from Typewriting Institutes and IMC certificates are not accepted. Only certificates for Computer Word Processing courses of not less than three months duration conducted by Central/State Government Departments, Agencies, Societies, or Universities will be considered as equivalent.

1. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable to this post. 2. A dictation test will be conducted for eligible candidates. Candidates must take down an English passage of 400 words read at a speed of 80 words per minute in 5 minutes in shorthand and transcribe it into longhand (using ink) within one hour. The venue and date will be notified later. 3. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. 4. In case of any discrepancy in the caste recorded in the SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste in the application and produce the caste certificate issued by the concerned Revenue Authority and the relevant Gazette notification at the time of verification. 5. Candidates who provide false information regarding education, experience, etc., and fail to appear for the exam after giving confirmation, or fail to appear despite having the qualification, will face appropriate disciplinary action as per PSC Rules of Procedure 1976 Rule 22. 6. Applications from candidates not belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be rejected without notice. 7. Candidates must provide their Aadhaar card as an identity document in their profile.
