18-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Including relaxation as per General Conditions 2(i)). Note: The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years (including all relaxations). See General Conditions (Para 2) in Part II of the Gazette Notification for special age relaxations.

Must have passed VHSE in Livestock Management.

(i) Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. (ii) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable for this selection. (iii) All qualifications must be acquired before the last date of application. (iv) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared by the Government as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification or higher qualifications, and for which the Government has issued orders, will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission. (v) Candidates selected will be appointed provisionally and must undergo Livestock Inspector Training Course / Poultry Assistant Training Course. Successful completion of the training is mandatory for regular service. If a candidate fails to complete the training successfully in the first attempt, three more chances will be allowed. If they fail in the fourth attempt, their provisional appointment will be cancelled and they will be removed from service. No ranking will be prepared based on marks obtained in training. (vi) Selected candidates must execute an agreement in the prescribed form to serve the Kerala Government for at least five years. Trainees who leave during the training or service period must pay the compensation fixed by the Government. (vii) Each trainee must produce a medical certificate (original) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon in Government Service regarding physical fitness when required by the Commission. (viii) Selection is district-wise as per Government Order (MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.71. Candidates appointed from the district-wise rank list are not allowed to transfer to any other district for five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfers are subject to G.O. (P) No. 36/91/P&ARD dated 02.12.1991. However, as per G.O. (P) No. 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.03.1996, this restriction does not apply to transfers to Idukki, Wayanad, and Kasaragod districts. This benefit can be availed only once in their official career. Candidates already in Government service in the same post and department in any district are not eligible to apply under this notification.
