18-26; Candidates must be born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). The upper age limit for candidates belonging to other backward communities is 29 years and for SC/ST candidates is 31 years. (See paragraph 2(i) of the General Conditions for other age relaxation rules).

(a) Educational Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination (Plus Two) or its equivalent. Note: In the absence of sufficient number of qualified SC/ST candidates, candidates who have failed in the Higher Secondary/Plus Two examination will also be considered for the reserved quota for them. (KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.) (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Height: Minimum 157 cm. (Note: For SC/ST candidates, minimum 150 cm height is sufficient.) (ii) Eye Sight: Must be certified as follows without glasses: Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen Note: Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or lids of either eye will be a disqualification. Physical deformities like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands/limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, and defects in hearing/speech will be considered as disqualification. (c) Must have qualified in at least 5 (five) out of 8 (eight) items in the National Physical Efficiency Test with one-star standard.

1. The rank list prepared for this post will have a validity of one year from the date of coming into force. Advice/rank seniority will be transferred from this battalion to vacancies arising in the districts. 2. Candidates must produce a medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant at the time of physical efficiency test. 3. Candidates must read the General Conditions (Part II) along with the gazette notification before applying. 4. Candidates must confirm their participation for the written/OMR/online test through their One Time Registration profile.
