Direct Recruitment (i) Category 572/2023 - Open Market (ii) Category 573/2023 - From among the Graduate Ministerial Staff of Police/Vigilance Department, Finger Print Experts of Finger Print Bureau, Finger Print Searchers. These candidates must have completed 2 (two) years of service in the Police/Vigilance Department. (iii) Category 574/2023 - From among the Graduate Police Constables, Head Constables, and those working in similar posts in the Police/Vigilance Department.
Age Limit
Category i (Open Market): 20-31, candidates must be born between 02.01.1992 and 01.01.2003 (both dates inclusive). Category ii (Ministerial): Should not have completed 36 (thirty-six) years as of 01.01.2023. Category iii (Constabulary): Should not have completed 36 (thirty-six) years as of 01.01.2023. Relaxation as per Part 2 General Conditions is applicable.
Qualifications
(a) Educational Qualifications: Degree. In the absence of candidates with the above qualifications, candidates from SC/ST who have passed Intermediate/Pre-University will be considered for the quota reserved for them. (b) Physical Qualifications: Must be physically fit. Must possess the following physical standards: Male Candidates: Height: 165.10 cm (160.02 cm for SC/ST) Chest: 81.28 cm Chest Expansion: 5.08 cm Female Candidates: Height: 160 cm (155 cm for SC/ST) (c) Vision: Must possess the following vision standards without glasses: Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (d) Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon at the time of Physical Efficiency Test/Certificate Verification.
Notes
1. Candidates from Ministerial/Constabulary wings can apply for Open Competition or the quota reserved for their respective wings, but not both. 2. Caste reservation is applicable only for Category i (Open Market). Rules of KS & SSR regarding reservation are not applicable for Categories ii and iii. 3. In the absence of qualified candidates from the Ministerial wing, vacancies will be filled from the Constabulary wing as per G.O.(MS) No. 196/95/Home dated 26.07.1995. In the absence of qualified candidates from both, vacancies will be filled from the Open Market. 4. Military training, NCC membership, sports, etc., are considered additional qualifications. 5. Candidates will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test. Physical measurements will be taken before the test. Candidates not meeting the standards will not be allowed to participate. 6. Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format. 7. Candidates must read the General Conditions in Part II of the Gazette notification before applying.
