First class or Second class Master's Degree in History of Arts with not less than 55% marks obtained from a recognized University. (G.O.(P) No. 215/88/H.Edn. Dated 11.10.1988 )

Note: 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 [Link:] Present Order for Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 Section 34 The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year, or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and against vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the Ranked list. i KS&SSR part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying Degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below .Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks Both M.Phil and Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications iii In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, qualifications notified as equivalent to the prescribed qualification by way of executive orders or standing orders of the Government, as well as higher qualification which presuppose the basic qualification prescribed for the post, shall be acceptable. Government Orders regarding equivalent qualifications / higher qualifications shall be produced by the candidate as and when called for by the Commission. iv The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services.
