Direct Recruitment (Statewide) From candidates belonging to ST & SCCC communities only

1) For ST: 18–41. Candidates born between 02.01.1980. and 01.01.2003 are eligible to apply for this post (both dates included). 2) For SCCC: 18-39 Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003 are eligible to apply for this post (both dates included) (Including age relaxation in Part-II Para2(i) of the General conditions). Note: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Converted to Christian Community, who have converted to Christianity from SC after attaining 18 years and children of such parents ie. candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 are eligible to apply for this post (Both dates included) and their age limit is 18-41. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see para (2) of the General conditions, except Para2(i), under Part II of this notification.)

[Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable] (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Must have at least 150 cm height. Note:Minimum height of 150 cm is applicable to ST candidates also. (ii) Eye sight: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye (a) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen (b) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen (c) Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (iii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. (iv) Must qualify in any five events out of the eight events of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test, as specified below. Sl. No. Events One Star Standards (i) 100 Metres Run 17 seconds (ii) High Jump 1.06 metres (iii) Long Jump 3.05 metres (iv) Putting the shot (weight of the shot 4 Kg) 4.88 metres (v) 200 metres run 36 seconds (vi) Throwing the throw ball 14 metres (vii) Shuttle Race (25 X 4 metres) 26 seconds (viii) Skipping (One minute) 80 times Note: The Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happened to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, she will not be given further chance to participate in the test. The candidates should produce at the time of Physical Efficiency Test, a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant and the same shall be uploaded in the OTR Profile by the candidate at time of Certificate Verification.

(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (ii) Candidates who having applied with actual caste when the caste entry is differed in the SSLC book such changes to be published in the gazette notification and the same along with the original Community Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue authorities, should be produced to prove their claim in application, at the time of verification. (iii) The above vacancies are now in existence. Ranked list will be prepared in pursuance of this notification and shall remain in force for a period of three years from the date of publication of ranked list or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post as detailed below, whichever is earlier. (iv) The name of the post, qualification and related conditions for selection is notified as per the provisions included in G.O.(P) No.89/2014/Home dated 06.05.2014, G.O.(P)No.266/2010/Home dated 09.12.2010 and G.O.(P)No.337/2012/Home dated 28.12.2012 (v) (a) Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continous period of three years. (b)They shall undergo in-service training within the period of probation as prescribed by the Head of Department. (c)They shall pass Kerala Jail subordinate officers test within the period of probation unless they have already passed the test. (d) Statewise Seniority will be maintained on the warder establishment for the purpose of promotion to other categories.
