20 - 41: Only candidates born between 02/01/1984 and 01/01/2005 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.(For other conditions of age relaxation please see Para(2) of Part II General Conditions in the Gazette)

1. First Class Bachelor's Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering /Technology from a recognised University after undergoing a regular course of study. 2. Five years experience in teaching as Lecturer in Government / Government aided or AICTE approved Polytechnic Colleges [GO(P)No. 366/2010/H Edn dated 08.11.2010]

i) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii) Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying Degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below. Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks Both M.Phil and Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications. iii) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. iv) Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the above mentioned post shall be liable, notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to those above 40 years of age.(GO(MS)No. 284/PRD dated 02.11.1967) v) Candidates should obtain experience Certificate in the following format and enter details regarding experience (certificate number,date,name of post,period,issuing authority,name of institution etc.) and upload scanned image of the same before submitting application. Candidates should produce the Certificate as and when asked for the same. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
