18-42. Only candidates born between 02/01/1980 and 01/01/2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. [Including the relaxation as per para (2)(i) of General Conditions] Note :- The Village Extension Officers who have been selected and have undergone the Degree course in Agriculture Science and obtained the Degree from Kerala Agricultural University will be eligible to get age relaxation in upper age limit up to 45 years for direct recruitment to the post of Agricultural Officer.

BSc. Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture awarded by Kerala Agricultural University or Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture from any other University recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Note:- 1) Rule 10a (II) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. 2)Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture but not having basic degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture will be ineligible to apply for the post. 3)The degree awarded by the Colleges/ Universities should be after the course of study having 10+2+4 pattern prescribed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. 4)Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the Notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of certificate verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification. 5)In the case of difference in original caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
