18-40. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2006 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to SC/ST and Other Backward Classes. Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years of age, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification.

(A) A Bachelors Degree with Mathematics or Statistics as Main Subject and B.Ed/ B.T in the concerned subjects conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Note : The Degree/ Diploma awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/ State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O(MS) No.526/65/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appoinment in Government Services. (B) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/ NET/ SET/ M.Phil/ Ph.D in the respective subjects/ M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET [G.O.(P)No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O.(P)No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O(P)No.15/2020/G.Edn. Dated 09.10.20]. 2. Candidates who have passed CTET Primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat.I & KTET Cat.II respectively. But CTET (Primary stage and Elementary stage) qualification shall not be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat.III and Cat.IV.[G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN Dated 01.02.2024] (C) (i) Must have passed SSLC/ Plus Two/ Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language. OR (ii) A pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Tamil Language. [In the absence of the qualifications referred in (i) & (ii) above, its equivalent shall also be considered. (G.O(P)No.166/16/G.Edn. Note: 4% of the total vacancies reported for the above post shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide GO(P)No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023. Candidates should submit the application for this post to Palakkad district and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil which will be tested at the time of Interview. Question papers for the written test, if any, will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the question in Tamil. In the case of OMR answer scripts, answers are to be marked as instructed.
