Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava community only).

18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (Including the age relaxation as per para 2 (i) of the General Conditions.) Note: For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years, please see para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification [Except para 2(i)].

1. A Bachelors Degree with Mathematics or Statistics as Main Subject and B. Ed./ B.T. in the concerned subjects conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Note: The Degree/ Diploma awarded by U.G.C. approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/ State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O.(MS.) No. 526/65/P.D. Dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appoinment in Government Services. 2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET Category III) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: i. Candidates who have qualified C-TET/ NET/ SET/ M. Phil./ Ph. D. in the respective subjects/ M. Ed. in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET [G.O.(P.) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P.) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O. (P.) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. Dated 09.10.2020]. ii. C-TET (Primary stage and Elementary stage) qualification shall not be considered as an alternative qualification for K-TET Category III [G.O.(P.) No. 6/2024/G.Edn. Dated 01.02.2024]. 3. i. Must have passed S.S.L.C./ Plus Two/ Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language. OR ii. A pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Tamil Language. [In the absence of the qualifications referred in i & ii above, its equivalent shall also be considered (G.O.(P.) No. 166/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.09.2016)].

i. Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. ii. Application submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. iii. A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district for Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava reservation community, in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava community for Idukki district, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Mother Ranked List published for the post as specified below. iv. Candidates belonging to above reservation community shall submit application for the post to the above district, where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. v. The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS.) No. 154/71/P.D., dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/ she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(P.) No. 36/91/P.&A.R.D. dated 02.12.1991. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. vi. M. Phil. in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. vii. Post Graduates in Mathematics/ Statistics with B. Ed./ B.T. in the concerned subject will also be considered for this post. viii. Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. ix. The candidates who have acquired B.Sc. Ed. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics stream conducted by the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore of N.C.E.R.T. are also eligible to apply for the post [G.O.(P.) No. 117/13/G.Edn. dated 30.03.2013]. x. The disciplines in which B. Sc./ M. Sc. and B. Ed./ B.T. Degree were obtained should be mentioned in the application. xi. Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil language which will be tested at the time of Interview. Question papers for the written test, if any, will be in Tamil language. The candidates should answer the question in Tamil. In the case of OMR answer scripts, answers are to be marked as instructed. xii. Rule 10 (a) ii of part II of K.S.&S.S.R. is applicable for this post.
