18-40. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2006 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to SC/ST and Other Backward Classes. Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years of age, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification.

1 A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/ BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subjects are specified in Note ii below.) 2 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption : (1) Candidates who have qualified CTET/ NET/ SET/ M.Phil/ Ph.D in the respective subjects/ M.ED in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET [G.O. (P)No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O.(P)No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O(P)No.15/2020/G.Edn. Dated 9.10.20] (2) Candidates who passed CTET Primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat.I & KTET Cat.II respectively. But CTET (Primary stage and Elementary stage) qualification shall not be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat.III and Cat.IV. [G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN Dated 01.02.2024] 3 (i) Must have passed SSLC/ Plus Two/ Pre-Degree with Kannada as I or II Language. OR (ii) A pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Kannada Language. In the absence of the qualifications referred in (i) & (ii) above, its equivalent shall also be considered. [G.O(P)No.166/16/G.Edn.Dated 30.09.2016]

Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. 4% of the total vacancies reported for the above post shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide GO(P)No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023. Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Kannada which will be tested at the time of interview. If there is a Written (Descriptive/ OMR) Test, Question papers for the Written test if any will be in Kannada. The candidates should answer the question in Kannada. In case of OMR answer script, answers are to be marked as instructed. Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for this post. Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D.
