Recruitment by transfer from among the employees who have completed the prescribed service and who are working as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General Education Department.

1) A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subject are specified in Note (iii)below. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed. in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016) 3) (I) Must have passed SSLC/Plus Two/Pre-Degree with Kannada as I or II Language. OR II) A pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Kannada Language. In the absence of the qualification referred in (I) & (ii) above its equivalent shall also be considered (G.O.(P)No.166/16/G.Edn, dated 30.09.2016) Note:- (i) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ii) The Employees of the General Education Department who entered service before 31.3.2012 and have completed the prescribed period of service as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant are exempted from acquiring KTET qualification. (iii)The applicant should have taken History or Economics or Geography or Politics or Commerce or Philosophy or Music or Sociology as main subject for Graduation. (iv) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. (v)The candidates who have acquired BA . Ed Integrated Course (Social Studies, English) conducted by the Regional Institute of Education in Mysore are also eligible to apply for the post (GO (Rt) No 2135/2019/G Edn dtd 04/06/2019). (vi) Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible to apply for the post. (vii) The following qualifications are also acceptable for appointment to the post of High School Teacher (Social Science) – Kannada Medium a) BA Degree in Islamic History and Urdu Double main and B.Ed in Social Studies OR b) BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Indian History (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History. OR c) BA Degree in Islamic History and Arabic main and B.Ed in History (a, b & c above as per GO(MS)No.254/90/G.Edn dated 05.12.1990) OR d) BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History (GO(MS)No.21/94/G.Edn dated 21.02.1994) OR e) BA (Islamic History and Arabic Main) and B.Ed (Social Studies) OR f) BA Islamic History (Main), Indian History and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (History) or B.Ed (Social Studies) OR g) BA Islamic History(Main), Political Science and General Economics (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies) OR h) BA Islamic History (Main), outlines of Indian Culture and Freedom Movement and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies). (e, f, g & h above as per GO(MS)No.327/2001/G.Edn dated 07.11.2001) (viii) The disciplines in which graduation and post graduation were obtained should be mentioned in the application. (ix) Candidate applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Kannada which will be tested at the time of interview. Question papers for the Written Test if any will be in Kannada. The candidate should answer the question in Kannada. (x) Candidate claiming equivalent qualifications shall produce the relevant Government Orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post. NB: Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for this post. 4) Candidates should have service not less than 5 years as clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General Education Department as on the date of application.

(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for By Transfer recruitment shall be filled up by the candidates from the Ranked List prepared for Direct recruitment. (iii) The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service as on the date of application. (iv) A Ranked List will be prepared for Kasaragod district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancy and those reported during the currency of the lists. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (Ms)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (vi) Candidates should apply to the Kasaragod district and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the application. (vii) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Rules 14 to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. Note:- Documents to prove qualification, date of birth and service have to be produced as and when called for. Candidates should obtain a Service Certificate (in original) in the form prescribed below from the Head of Office/Department and produce as and when called for.
