18-40. Candidates born between 02/01/1981 and 01/01/2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities. For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part-II of the General Conditions.

Degree in any subject from a UGC recognized University or National Institute established by the Government of India or Kerala Government and HDC/JDC or equivalent qualification. OR B.Com Degree with Co-operation from a UGC recognized University or National Institute established by the Government of India or Kerala Government. OR B.Sc Degree in Co-operation and Banking from Kerala Agricultural University.

i) The vacancy reported is for the General Category. Future vacancies will be divided in 1:1 ratio between General Category and Society Category. The first turn is for the General Category. Vacancies for the Society Category will be notified separately as Part II. Appointments from both lists will be made following the reservation rules 14 to 17 of the KS&SSR 1958. ii) The rank list prepared will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. Appointments will be made from this list for the reported vacancy and any further vacancies reported while the list is in force. iii) Selection is on a state-wide basis. iv) As per KCS Rule 184, those appointed will be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous service of three years from the date of joining. Note: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II, KS&SSR is applicable to this selection. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. In case of any discrepancy in the caste mentioned in the SSLC book, candidates must produce the caste certificate/non-creamy layer certificate and relevant gazette notification at the time of verification.
